Jason Hindman

Pre-Doctoral Psychology Intern

Personal Statement:
I find it particularly rewarding to provide counseling services to Texas A&M's student body. The diversity that is found in college students is remarkable and makes my job continually challenging and interesting. And it's a treat to work for a university that is as vibrant and spirited as Texas A&M! Regardless of an individual's circumstances, I strive to genuinely connect with each client and form an authentic relationship, not something that is contrived or artificial. I am committed to collaborating with my clients in a process of mutual exploration that will help them make better sense of their experiences. While counseling work may focus on an individual's thinking, emotions, or relationships and may consider influences from both the past and present, it will always be flexible and account for an individual's unique context. I have a special interest in relationship issues, family dynamics, social adjustment, anger issues, spirituality, assessment and group counseling. In my personal time, I enjoy my wife and two children, camping, photography, reading history, watching movies, playing/watching sports, and taking road-trips.
