Assessment of Study Skills

The LASSI measures awareness about and use of learning and study strategies. It provides information about study skills strengths and weaknesses in comparison to other college students. Results of the measure can be used to develop techniques for improving study strategies. Time required to take the measure is approximately 30 minutes. Maximum benefit is gained by discussing results with a learning skills counselor.

Online modules are available to help remediate study skills deficits. To take the LASSI, register for services at http://scs.tamu.edu/. Registration for test interpretation is necessary, and the LASSI must be completed 3 business days prior to the interpretation session. Access to the LASSI modules is provided at the brief (30 minutes) interpretation workshop.
