Ana Popovska Bio

Ana Popovska, Ph.D.
Psychologist I, Supervised by Brian Williams, Ph.D.
Personal Statement:
I embrace an integrative perspective to counseling, where individual developmental trajectories, mind-body connections, and social and multicultural factors all play important roles on how we feel, think, and act. I work to help my clients connect with their core values, find constructive ways to express their needs and concerns, gain self-reflection, and achieve personal growth. I have had training in psychodynamic, interpersonal, and CBT modalities and I also have experience with relaxation- and mindfulness-based techniques. In addition, I have a special interest in career counseling, which I am always open to integrating in psychotherapy. I am new to Aggieland, hailing originally from Bulgaria and having previously lived on the East Coast and in San Antonio, TX. In my free time, I enjoy creative activities and exploring new areas.
Academic Training:
Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology: University of Maryland, College Park
B.A. in Psychology, cum laude: Amherst College
